NOPAL CLEANING MACHINE

The cleaning and trimming machine is the result of 10 years of work and effort made by the Ph. Rodolfo Moctezuma who based on his experience of years in the production and processing of the nopal, he has been able to make in a mechanical way, the work that for their complexity, habitually has been made and it continues being carried out manually.         

The great diversity of conformations that presents the nopal makes extremely difficult to clean to 100%. however, The  “nopalli” machine was designed considering the different variables that are presented and therefore has different trim adjustments in order to maximize the efficiency of the cleanliness.                      

 

Notes.-

 I.-With cleaning we refer to the removal of the Areola and the Thorns of the Nopal. However, still and    when sometimes the cleaning is not achieved to 100% as for the areolas, the thorns are 100%  removed

           NOPAL TRIMMING MACHINE

The trimming machine  is a machine that supplements to the cleaning machine and also  operates in independent way. It is connected to the cleaning Machine by means of a band that is in view of the operator, allowing him, to watch over the quality of the cleaning before trimming. Additionally, you can adjust easily to cut in squares or stripes of different measures according to your necessities

IDEAL CHARACTERISTICS FOR THE  NOPAL TO BE PROCESSED

In order to maximizing the cleaning efficiency, it is convenient to take care from the quality of the  nopal to process, for such a reason, next some of the variables are listed that suits to watch over.   

 

                        Among more dense are the areolas  in the tip is better

                        Brilliant green color

                        Among more swollen the areola, better

                        Uniform thickness (very important)

                 Preferentemente that doesn't have more than 1 day of cut (except if it stays in refrigeration)

                 as the time passes between the crop and cleaning this process becomes complicated due that the nopal

                 goes becoming dehydrated and also leathery       

 

                     Avoid Nopal with scars  (it will roughdress the nopal)

                    Try not to mix thickness in the measure that you can avoid differences in thickness of pads the cleaning  

                     and the yield will be more efficient.        

                     In the event of having product with strong differences in thickness, it is recommended to separate them

                     and to process them in form independent
